When I first began accumulating stamps in my passport as a young adult, I was all about checking countries off of some sort of invisible list (13 countries in two months!). I'd spend a day in Budapest and proudly exclaim that I'd been to Hungary.
As I have grown older (and possibly wiser?), this style of traveling has lost its appeal. The following visual journal documents a one week stay in Barcelona. Cities such as this one have so much to offer, that it's easy to dedicate a leisurely week vacation wandering around different neighbourhoods and appreciating the joys of living along the Mediterranean.
